SO! here's the 2nd prayer chain!
Hi guys. ok i'm really intending to get the prayer pointers more organised. but as of yet it's not really organised, i gotta admit. sorry la, but hopefully it doesn't cause anyone to lose any sleep. anyway this week's one is pretty spontaneous, basically i just asked God what He wanted me to pray for. prayer chain leaders, please feel free to add in prayer pointers of your own.
1)Health-both in the physical and spiritual sense
this is really not something i'd usually say, but i believe God is trying to tell us that this is a season for healing. so for those of you not feeling well, what are you waiting for!
any other prayer pointers are pretty much up to you
2)falling away from the faith
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
this is an extremely pessimistic topic to talk about. and probably that's why we don't talk about it. but not talking about it doesn't make it go away. here's something you might want to do. go find a picture of our cell. close your eyes and randomly point at someone in the picture. what if 10 years from now, that person is no longer with our church? i once had 3 other friends, and to cut the long story short, one of us is now an atheist of sorts, while the other 2 are apparently attending church. but i have no idea what level of faith they have, and neither do i intend to judge them.
pray that God will shield us from the Evil One, that we will not base our spiritual level on our climate or mood, and that God will help us understand how inseparable we are from him.
ok that's all. hopefully i won't be so pessimistic next time hor
