Its Just the Way We Are
we hold on to things the tightest,
when we are forced to let them go-
We always want things a certain way,
when we know they cant be so.
Dreams always last the longest,
when they are furthest from our reach-
and the lessons we learn most from,
are often the very ones we teach.
The grass is always greenest,
when it lies on the other side-
Often the truth we preach to others,
are often those we cant abide.
We hold fast to things in a storm,
which are most likely to blow away,
and yet we neglect to wear sunscreen,
on a bright and sunny day.
We spend our time trying to see things,
when perspective is one thing we lack,
And we never appreciate what we've got,
until we cant get it back.
We tell the whole world to give us a break,
and yet ironically we will find,
then when others come asking the same of us,
we tell them they are out of their mind.
We tell everyone whats wrong with the world,
yet we do nothing to make it right, (arent humans all guilty of that?)
we complain about families falling apart,
yet do nothing to keep them tight.
We preach about loving our neighbours,
and we teach children right from wrong
But we never set good examples,
when the real chances come along.
We complain about not having enough time in our lives,
to do what we must do, (sounds familiar?)
yet if we are given more hours in the day,
we will use it all up too.
We desire to be close to the ones we love
yet too often look on from afar,
when it comes to the truth,
do we want to change
or remain forever as we are?
hello everyone, just read this from a book recently, thought it was good for us to think about?

Clara Moment #1
While playing Captain's Ball,
Clara was the one who was supposed to catch the ball for the team to score a point
Someone throws ball to her, it passes over her head.
Clara: You missed! (Or too high!)
Without noticing that the ball is technically still over her head.
Ball promptly falls on Clara's head.
Everyone laughs, Eugenia laughs so hard she's sprawled on the ground.
(Clara claims that it was Wilfred who lobbed the ball at her and it was his intention for the ball to whack her so that she couldn't catch the ball. Hmm. I think my version is better. Now Clara claims that I embellished Wilfred's intention, he apparently deflected the ball so she couldn't catch it and then it fell on her head. Everything is Wilfred's fault not hers. She is trying to claim defamation but please la, one of the elements of defamation is that it must not be based on real facts. on the facts of this case, that element is not made out and she will not succeed in claiming defamation. Don't mess with the one who did defamation for moots hahahah)
Clara Moment #2
While still playing Captain's Ball
Clara: *to Chao Yuan* I'm going to pull down your shorts! (cos CY was trying to prevent her from getting the ball)
Chao Yuan: You need to pray for self- control! (in line with the fruit of the spirit activity we had earlier)
