so sorry that i haven't been able join u all at pop2 for cell group... I had to join pop1 for cell due to worship prac... hopefully i'll be able to join u all soon... i was away for children's min teachers' retreat last weekend- something like spiritual formation style... there were time set aside for us to be alone with God. Interesting thing was that we had to eat dinner in silence... We could only communicate using signals n body language... Not quite used to it myself though ... Haha :) I'll not be around this weekend too as i'll be away for a short trip to port dickson. I'll see all of u on the 8/9 Sep except for wei jin who will be away for ymlc. Wei Jin, enjoy ur trip!!!

Hi guys,
and sry haven't been turning up for cell or church lately, weekends had been burnt to do standby and duties ever since i came back from Thailand.
Will try to be there at cell (if there is any this week) but provided the "ARMY OPEN HOUSE" thingy doesn't drag till too late. Hope to see you guys this week!!

heh i just realise our cellgroup blog is ready:) aniwaes since no one post anting yet since christine last post, i shall post now:)
our cell been learning alot on evanglism so i tot that i should share a story tt i read from a book called stories for the extreme teen hearts that really inspire me n show me how a true servant of God really is.
Its the story of John Harper-Titanic last hero.
John harper was born to a pair of solids christian parents on may 29.1872. He was 13 when he received christ into his life. He never knew what it was to sow his wild oats. He begin to preach about 4 years later when he was 17, after preachin in the streets for 5 years. he was taken in by a Reverend E.A Carter of Baptist Church in London. He was man consumed by the word of God. He devote his whole life to God's ministry of evanglism at the age of 23. He started his own church in 1898 (now known as the Harper Memorial Church) John started his church with just 25 members which grown to 500 when he left 13 years later. He got married but was widowes shortly after, but he had a beautiful girl Nana, He almost drown a few times during his life. but God saved him and through this experiences help him to prepare for what is to come. On board the Titanic that night when it sank. He led his daughter to safety,he could have went with his daughter into the lifeboat using the excuse his a single parent.but he did not. he told nana tat he will see her someday, holding his tears back. As the remaining people on board the Titanic, one by one dropped into the water. John swam around in the cold water leading people to Christ and to be saved before the cold water freeze them. He came to a young man and ask if he was saved. He said he was not,and john ask him if he would like to be saved.the man reply no and john took off his life jacket and gave to the man sayin you need this more than i do. he continued swimming on, and leading others into christ. The young man, touched by his actions, accepted Christ into his heart when John swam back to him a few minutes later. soon the water became too cold and John together with 1522 passangers died and drown into the sea. Before goin under water, John last words was Believe on the Name of Lord Jesus and You will be saved. Did hollywood james cameron remembered tis man? No, but it doesnt matter coz John did what God had always wanted him to do.Lead people to Christ. John harper gave up his life so that others could be saved. He is indeed the True Hero of the Titanic.
